T: 10 (really bad fall)
Wow, this week is off to a really shitty start. Yesterday, I made the mistake of ordering the machaca burrito at work. It tasted pretty good, but I think there was at least 1/3 pound of pure lard in it, because it felt like a bowling ball in my stomach the rest of the day. By the time I tried to do a short section of my 10-miler at marathon pace, I thought I was going to throw up several times. The MP run went really badly, on account of my stomach. I did a few short sections at MP, but couldn't even do those fast enough, as my fitsense watch showed me running 6:30 pace or so instead of the intended 6:10. Then I'd have to stop for fear of barfing again.
At the very end of today's run, I stepped in a very deep hole in the dark and fell really hard on both knees. They're pretty sore now. I might be off for a few days. I intended to do 70 this week with 1 MP run (already failed) and one Hanson "speed" session, but that sure as hell isn't going to happen now. That's what I get for running in the dark.
